Role details

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment within compounding operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, processing, and disposal of raw materials and chemicals. Participate in safety initiatives including audits, risk assessments, process hazard reviews, and spill response activities.
  • Partner with Research & Development, Product Development, and cross-functional teams to support new product and process introductions. Assist with scale-up activities, process validation, equipment evaluations, plant trials, and the development of manufacturing standards, recipes, and processing parameters from raw material through finished product.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation for new product launches, including Process Flow Maps and PFMEAs. Utilize engineering drawings, material specifications, DFMEAs, formulation data, and equipment parameters to establish robust manufacturing processes while supporting quality documentation and control plan creation.
  • Lead manufacturing process launch activities, including equipment evaluation, feasibility analysis, process trials, and implementation planning. Manage capital projects through equipment selection, design review, installation, commissioning, capability studies, and production ramp-up to achieve targeted efficiency and throughput goals.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to identify and resolve process inefficiencies, quality concerns, and equipment-related issues. Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, DOE, Kaizen, Gemba, and statistical analysis tools to drive operational improvements.
  • Establish and monitor process controls, operating windows, and performance standards using statistical methods and process capability data. Ensure process inputs and outputs consistently meet quality, safety, and production requirements while driving improvements in First Pass Yield, OEE, and overall process stability.
