Global Process Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Global Process Engineer to join our world-class engineering team. This highly visible role will support manufacturing operations across our global footprint by leading process development, mold qualification, scientific molding initiatives, and production optimization efforts for complex device programs.

Job Function and Duties

As a Global Process Engineer, you'll serve as a technical leader supporting new product launches and existing manufacturing operations throughout Technimark's global network, including:

New Program & Mold Qualification

  • Support mold design reviews and qualification activities for new global programs
  • Travel to tool builders to qualify, debug, and approve molds for production readiness
  • Lead development of robust molding processes utilizing Scientific Molding principles
  • Establish process windows and critical process parameters for new product launches
  • Ensure completion of process documentation and Manufacturing Acceptance Package (MAP) requirements.

Process Development & Validation

  • Execute and support Design of Experiments (DOE) activities
  • Support DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ, and PPAP activities for new medical device programs
  • Partner with Quality, Tooling, Automation, and Manufacturing teams to ensure successful product launches
  • Conduct technical feasibility assessments for new programs and manufacturing processes

Global Manufacturing Support

  • Support manufacturing sites worldwide with troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive process standardization and harmonization across global operations
  • Integrate lessons learned into future mold designs and process development strategies
  • Provide technical leadership during production startup and scale-up activities

Technical Leadership & Training

  • Train and mentor Manufacturing Engineers on process development methodologies
  • Lead or coordinate RJG and Scientific Molding training initiatives globally
  • Support the development of Technimark's next generation of technical talent
  • Serve as a key technical resource for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

Required Experience:

  • 10\+ years of Injection Molding Process Engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering/Technology, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and injection molding experience
  • Strong Scientific Molding process development expertise
  • Experience developing and optimizing molding processes from tool qualification through production releases
  • Strong understanding of DOE methodologies and process validation
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • RJG Master Molder I or II certification &/or AIM Institute training
  • Tool design and tool build experience
  • Experience with high-cavitation molds, stack molds &/or cube molds
  • Experience supporting global manufacturing operations
  • Medical device validation experience including DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ &/or PPAP

Travel

This position requires approximately 40% global travel to support mold qualifications, process development activities, manufacturing startups, and customer programs throughout Technimark's worldwide operations
