Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and validation of new product models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Develop detailed schematics, assembly instructions, and technical documentation for new models.
  • Utilize industrial automation tools such as robotics, CNC programming, CAM programming, and vision inspection systems to optimize production processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on manufacturing issues related to new models and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to improve process efficiency and quality standards.
  • Manage project schedules using project management tools, ensuring timely completion of development milestones.
  • Perform engineering troubleshooting on complex equipment including industrial automation systems and industrial equipment.
  • Support process engineering initiatives focused on plastics injection molding, tooling fabrication, welding, and assembly line optimization.
  • Lead or participate in process improvement projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing productivity and quality in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on new product development or process engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD; experience with Schematics and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Hands-on experience with robotics programming, CNC/CAM programming, industrial automation systems, and vision inspection systems.
  • Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes, tooling design, fabrication techniques, and assembly line operations.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools and project management principles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis techniques and continuous improvement methodologies like Lean management and Six Sigma manufacturing.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment operation, welding techniques, tooling design, fabrication processes, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills for engineering data analysis and process optimization initiatives.
