Co-op supporting fiberglass/aluminum boat NPD: material selection, composite testing, FEA, and hands-on molding
Worth knowing
Why it is interesting. Hands-on composite molding plus FEA and materials testing on real boat structures, not just desk work.
Might not be for you. Mechanical-engineering-flavored co-op; materials work is one part of a broader NPD role.
Adjacent materials rolehulls/decks/stringers made of fiberglass composite, aluminum or plastic; open and closed molding techniques; ASTM/ISO mechanical testing of materials
