General Job Summary:
Plans and coordinates activities to provide for orderly development and improve operating efficiency.
Essential Job Functions:
- Verifies that Process Parameters are identical to the “Job Set up Sheet”.
- Determines operations required to produce products.
- Establishes start-up meeting agenda and administers.
- Oversees day-to-day processes and procedures.
- Troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective action.
- Develops processes to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met.
- Researches the purchase of equipment or upgrades to existing equipment.
- Ensures housekeeping standards and requirements.
- Supports die changes.
- Supports and documents new product safe launch participation.
- Initiates “Job Set Up Sheet”.
- Follows all safety, housekeeping, company policies and procedures.
- Maintains morale and team work atmosphere
- Promotes guest relations; anticipates and responds to needs of others; provides assistance in a courteous, quick manner; treats others with care and respect, maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Assigns operators to machines when needed.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Communication skills necessary to provide information in a comprehensible fashion (oral and written); read and comprehend instructions.
- Good interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain a productive working relationship with staff members and clients.
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Working knowledge of geometry and algebra.
Working Conditions:
- Shop environment with exposure to loud noises from shop machines.
- Extended hours are commonly required beyond the regular eight-hour workday.
- Must wear protective equipment such as safety glasses to shield against bits of plastic while on the shop floor, may wear earplugs to protect against noise, and gloves and masks to reduce exposure to heat and dust.
- Occasional lifting and carrying tools and other items weighing up to approximately twenty-five pounds. Work requires walking and standing approximately ninety percent.
Minimum Level of Preparation and Training:
Bachelor degree in related field plus 3 years relevant experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master Molder 1 certification preferred.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
