Product Engineer

Role details

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Propose modifications to existing products to improve cost efficiency, quality, and functionality
• Evaluate and interpret customer requirements for new product development
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and management teams to resolve design and manufacturing challenges
• Develop layouts and detailed drawings using CAD/CAM systems
• Support troubleshooting efforts and perform root cause analysis for product and process issues
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support product launches and continuous improvement initiatives
• Working within ISO-9000 standards and internal quality systems
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

POSITION REQUIRMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5\+ years of experience in design and manufacturing
• Experience in plastics and/or rubber industries with injection & blow molding
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM systems, including SolidWorks for product design and PowerMill for CNC programming and toolpath development
• Strong communication skills with customers, vendors, and internal teams

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of ISO-9000 standards and quality management systems
• Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and TQM (Total Quality Management) tools and principles

WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• In office with moderate noise levels & prolonged computer use. Occasional presence in non-climate-controlled, high-noise production & warehouse areas where appropriate PPE must be worn
• Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000
