Job Title: Microanalysis Scientist Co-Op Job Description: Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission. The Role: Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a Microanalysis Scientist Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. In this role, you will join Entegris’ Micro-analysis team, which is developing a method to evaluate the particle size distribution or pore size distribution based on SEM or 3D confocal images and advanced software.

You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge analytical instruments and contribute to method development and routine analytical services. What You’ll Do: Perform and present analytical test results to Senior Scientists and Engineers. Become proficient in advanced analytical tools including: Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) Confocal 3D Fluorescence Microscope Microscope FTIR Develop and iterate upon test methodologies. Discuss test results and suggest future project directions. Support routine analytical services by analyzing samples from other teams.

What We Seek: Open-minded, curious, and eager to learn new technologies and analytical techniques. Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Background in Computer Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Optics, Imaging Science, or related fields. Familiarity with digital image analysis, data processing, or programming is preferred. Knowledge of optical microscopy, particularly laser scanning confocal microscopy, is a plus. Ability to clearly communicate technical findings through written reports and presentations. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Compensation
