Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Injection Molding Process Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of plastic injection molding processes within our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot complex production issues, and collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality output and operational efficiency. Your expertise in process engineering, robotics, CAD design, and industrial equipment will be vital in advancing our manufacturing capabilities and ensuring adherence to industry standards such as ISO 9001.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence product quality and manufacturing excellence through innovative process solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize injection molding processes to maximize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on production issues related to tooling, mechanical failures, or process deviations; implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Design and modify tooling and fixtures using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD to improve process performance.
  • Program and troubleshoot robotics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation lines to enhance manufacturing throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project scheduling for new product launches or process upgrades; ensure timely completion.
  • Perform process validation activities including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), CAM programming, CNC programming, and vision inspection system integration.
  • Maintain detailed schematics, industrial equipment documentation, and process control records; ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance productivity on assembly lines.
  • Oversee factory experience with industrial equipment such as CNC machines, welding tools, fabrication machinery, and robotics for assembly line automation.
  • Support factory staff through training on process controls, safety protocols, tooling fabrication, and mechanical knowledge essentials.

Experience

  • Proven experience in plastics injection molding within a manufacturing environment; familiarity with factory operations is essential.
  • Strong background in process engineering with hands-on knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks, Creo), schematics design, CAM programming, CNC programming, and vision inspection systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues using root cause analysis techniques.
  • Experience programming robotic systems and PLCs for automation applications in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies applied in a manufacturing facility.
  • Mechanical engineering or industrial engineering degree preferred; relevant certifications in CAD/CAM/PLC programming highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and industrial equipment maintenance best practices is desirable.
  • Prior factory experience involving assembly lines, tooling fabrication, welding processes, CNC operations, or fabrication is highly valued. Join us to be part of an innovative team committed to manufacturing excellence! Your expertise will help shape the future of our production processes while advancing your career in a fast-paced environment dedicated to quality and continuous improvement.
