Process Engineer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role will focus on developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting production processes to ensure high-quality output, maximum efficiency, and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment, demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, and be flexible in working overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed to support production demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and standardize machine processes to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve process and equipment issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Conduct process capability studies, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
- Implement and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and best practices.
- Assist in new product trials, tooling qualifications, and production launches.
- Support training for machine operators and technicians on proper setup, operation, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 2\+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in extrusion blow molding or plastics processing.
- Strong knowledge of machine operation, process setup, and optimization techniques.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic data analysis tools.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move around manufacturing floor for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to \[25 lbs.] and pull \[50 lbs.] as needed.
- Work in a position that requires you to move in repetitive motions, such as bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, and standing on your feet for long periods of time.
