One of the strengths of the AuST Group is finding the right person for the position. Sometimes that maybe a Senior level Engineer with deep knowledge and experience, and other times it may be someone with less experience but that spark that will take them to the next level. We value the knowledge and experience as well as the best fit for our culture.

  • Candidates with 3-5 years of experience, depth and breadth of skills would fall within the $90,000-$110,00 range.
  • Candidates with 5\+ years of experience, depth and breadth of skills could expect a range of $100,000-$120,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Development: Collaborate in the evolution of manufacturing processes and procedures. Innovate to create seamless workflows that boost efficiency and quality.
  • Fixture and Work Holding Innovation: Harness your ingenuity to implement fixtures and work holding solutions that streamline manufacturing operations.
  • Documentation: In this industry you have to prove what you think, say, and do. We need people that can solve problems, develop test, and collect data to show efficacy.
  • Work Instructions: Collaborate with operators to craft and refine comprehensive manufacturing standardized work instructions that serve as the foundation for consistent and high-quality output.
  • Problem Solving: Utilize your analytical prowess to swiftly identify root causes of issues encountered in current products and production processes. Your timely solutions will keep our operations on track.
  • Continuous Improvement Champion: Help fuel a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. Your insights will empower teams to enhance efficiency at every turn.
  • Lean Principles Application: Embrace lean principles to eliminate wastage and enhance productivity. Your dedication to waste reduction will contribute to our sustainability goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or material science engineering. Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of working with medical device regulations CFR 820 & ISO13485. Experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of material in plastics, injection molding, manufacturing equipment, and press-forming.
  • Analytical skills, with experience in root cause analysis (RCA) and structured problem-solving, including statistical analyses, DOE, Risk Based decision making etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across multi-functional teams. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a distinct advantage.

Requirements:

  • Work setting: In-person, on site manufacturing facility in West Valley City, UT 5 days normal hours
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Physical: Light work, occasional medium work, lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Visual: Close vision, color vision, depth perception ability to adjust focus
  • Motion & Sensory: standing, walking, pushing, feeling, stooping, reaching, lifting, grasping, repetitive motion
  • Working Conditions: Office, clean-room, and other controlled environments

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
