Role details

Brief Description The Controls Engineer will be responsible for driving and giving solutions for the technical execution of the plant’s technology such as providing support on electrical distribution systems, controls upgrades, start of equipment, automation documentation, and troubleshoot controls.

ACTUAL WAGE WILL BE BASED ON RELATED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE; MINIMUM STARTING POSTED. ) • Processing Automation troubleshooting • Manage Automation improvement projects • Mentor/train Instrumentation & Controls Technicians • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.

Requirements Skills and Abilities • Ability to understand, modify and upgrade PLC logic (Rockwell platform preferred, Siemens a plus), VFD’s, network switches • Ability to update P&ID’s, electrical/mechanical prints (AutoCad preferred) • Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community • Ability to analyze and assess training and development needs • Able to understand and utilize engineering drawings, operating manuals, and blueprints to conduct business.

Education And Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Technology preferred, or a combination of related education and experience required • 7\+ years of manufacturing automation experience required • Additional training as an industrial automation technician preferred

Contacts involve giving or exchanging information of a limited controversial nature.
