We're currently partnering with an industry-leading specialty chemicals business to recruit a Technical Expert in Solvent-Based Acrylic Polymerization and Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA).

This is a rare opportunity for a recognised technical specialist who enjoys solving complex scientific challenges rather than managing large teams.

You'll act as the subject matter expert across the full product lifecycle, leading the development of innovative solvent-based acrylic polymers from concept through laboratory development, scale-up and commercial manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance solvent-based acrylic polymers for PSA applications.
  • Lead polymerization process development, optimisation and scale-up.
  • Support manufacturing with troubleshooting, process improvement and technology transfer.
  • Develop and optimise adhesive formulations for demanding customer applications.
  • Work closely with commercial teams and customers to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Drive innovation across tapes, labels, medical and industrial adhesive applications.

We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience in Solvent-Based Acrylic Polymerization
  • Strong expertise in Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) chemistry
  • Hands-on experience with polymer design, formulation and free radical polymerization.
  • Proven success taking products from laboratory through pilot plant to commercial manufacture.
  • Strong understanding of adhesive performance, process optimisation and manufacturing support.
