Brand: FCA Group The Structures and Interiors Innovation Engineer operates within the Concept and Pre-Program Engineering organization, supporting the Structures and Interiors Innovation function. This role is responsible for leading advanced engineering initiatives that integrate Body-in-White (BIW), Structures, and Interior systems, with a focus on developing scalable, production-feasible innovations and features for Stellantis. The position serves as project leader, technical pilot, and single-point engineering authority for innovation programs spanning upper body, structures, greenhouse, passenger compartment, rear shelf, rear compartment, exteriors, glazing, seating, cockpit, and restraint systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced innovation projects from concept definition through feasibility and proof-of-concept (POC) validation, with clear technical ownership
  • Serve as the single-point technical interface for cross-functional teams (design, CAE, manufacturing, suppliers)
  • Develop and mature integrated Structures–Interiors solutions that deliver measurable improvements in: + Mass reduction / lightweighting + Cost and investment efficiency + Manufacturing feasibility and complexity reduction + Product performance (NVH, durability, crash, usability)
  • Apply deep expertise in BIW Structures and Interior Systems to resolve complex engineering problems and enable differentiated vehicle features
  • Drive multi-material strategies (steel, aluminum, magnesium, composites), advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., additive manufacturing, forming, joining) and Interiors integration of Seats, Instrument Panel, Cockpit, Consoles and Restraints.
  • Translate innovation concepts into validated engineering-ready architectures and package solutions
  • Support Technology Roadmap development for Structures and Interiors in alignment with Discipline Manager – Advanced Structures and Interiors leadership and present to Technical Executives.
  • Interface with global teams and suppliers to ensure technical alignment and execution feasibility
  • Lead and contribute to early-stage CAD, architecture studies, and system-level trade-off analyses
