Job Summary
The Project Engineer plans, coordinates, and executes engineering projects that support manufacturing performance, process improvement, equipment readiness, tooling changes, facility modifications, and operational growth. This role manages project scope, technical requirements, timelines, budgets, vendors, documentation, and cross-functional communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead assigned engineering projects from scope definition through implementation, validation, documentation, and handoff to operations.
- Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, risk registers, and communication updates to support project execution.
- Coordinate technical activities related to equipment installations, process improvements, tooling changes, facility modifications, layouts, and manufacturing support projects.
- Prepare, review, and interpret technical drawings, specifications, layouts, work instructions, equipment documentation, and project requirements.
- Partner with production, quality, maintenance, tooling, facilities, supply chain, vendors, and leadership to align project needs and resolve technical issues.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, process capability improvement, and operational reliability initiatives.
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, equipment suppliers, tool shops, and service providers including scope definition, scheduling, cost control, and follow-up.
- Support trials, validations, engineering changes, equipment qualifications, process documentation, and implementation readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3\+ years of progressively responsible project engineering, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or related industrial experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project engineering principles, manufacturing processes, equipment implementation, process improvement, and technical problem solving.
- Ability to plan and coordinate projects involving production, engineering, quality, maintenance, tooling, facilities, vendors, and contractors.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, layouts, equipment manuals, process documentation, and customer requirements.
- Working knowledge of project planning, risk management, budgeting, timelines, validation, and change control practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management, CAD, ERP, maintenance, or reporting systems.
- Experience supporting plastic injection molding, assembly, metal components, or related industrial manufacturing operations preferred.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
