Role details

This is an exciting position open due to promotion! If you have a couple of years of experience formulating pigment dispersions, and doing color matching, this could be a career move you’ll never forget! Amazing company culture, opportunity to grow technically and professionally!

The main responsibilities are product development of pigment and thickening formulations for composites. Examples of end uses are construction, automotive, recreation and infrastructure. The position is hands on with formulating, compounding and molding.

The candidate should be mechanically inclined as well as have strong knowledge of chemistry. The individual will support the product leader pigment dispersions on laboratory work, maintaining equipment, and authoring technical reports. Organization and project management skills are important.

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.

Salary

$75,000 - $110,000 \+ 10% Bonus

Desired Experience: • 1\+ year formulating pigment dispersion and color matching • 1\+ year formulating or compounding resins • Molding or fabricating composites • Formulation or compounding of unsaturated polyester and epoxy vinyl ester resins

Required Skills: • Hands-on laboratory skills • Excellent organizational and project management skills • Strong written and oral communication skills • Interpersonal skills for customer and colleague collaboration • Microsoft Office

Additional Desired Skills and Characteristics: • Color matching and weathering testing • Knowledge of physical testing and mechanical properties • Creativity, curiosity, mechanically inclined, problem solving, time management, and ability to seek out and find new opportunities for pigments and resin formulations • Passion to create and ability to use chemistry and composite fabrication methods to solve real-world technical challenges • Minimal travel, less than 5% • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. com.
