Co-op will work with R&D engineers, lab technicians, and operators in various aspects of the latex polymer scale-up process. Specific duties include learning quality-testing procedures, working with P&IDs, understanding batch polymerization, and assisting in creating procedures and recipes for various polymer batches.

• Attend daily operations meeting -----------------------------------
• Observe process hazard analysis for various parts of the plant ------------------------------------------------------------------
• Modify/create polymer batch recipes ---------------------------------------
• Utilize excel to perform/optimize various tasks ---------------------------------------------------
• Modify/create process and instrumentation diagrams ------------------------------------------------------
• Validate JHA and SOP procedures for all work. -------------------------------------------------
• Work with operators/technicians to create a safe work environment ---------------------------------------------------------------------
• Learn and utilize different analytical techniques for determining quality of materials created --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• Work on various plant improvement projects ----------------------------------------------
• Attend all safety meetings and participate in safety inspections --------------------------------------------------------------------
