We are actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Plastic Injection Parts at an Automotive Parts Manufacturing Company in Canton, GA . This position is fulltime onsite position.
Responsibilities - Manufacturing Engineer - Plastic Injection Parts :
- Manage tooling projects from design through mass production.
- Design and build fixtures (10% CAD time).
- Complete the tool design review.
- Involve with the tool design review.
- Oversee the tool build from preproduction into mass production.
- Troubleshoot production issues as they relate to the tooling.
- Work with tool shop or outsourcing once tool is designed.
- Manage all preproduction events.
- Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as needed.
Qualifications - Manufacturing Engineer - Plastic Injection Parts :
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSME), Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Manufacturing background (preferably automotive).
- Processing knowledge to manage projects from quotation.
- Experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, 3D CAD (CATIA/SolidWorks).
- 2 – 5 years of experience with Injection molding and or Metal Stamping (Preferably automotive).
- Project Management skills to manager projects from quotation to implementation.
- Familiar with APQP process.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage a few projects with multiple assignments and prioritize accordingly.
- PLC (Mitsubishi, Keyence, DirectSoft) programming is a plus.
- *While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.*
