Position Summary:

Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc., an industry-leading testing laboratory for rubber, plastic and latex is looking to fill a Laboratory Technician position for our Chemical Services Department.

Required Capabilities:

• Performs lab work as assigned from Supervisory Personnel
• Responsible for project testing and computer reporting
• Work well in a group environment
• Familiar with laboratory apparatus, hand tools, and some power tools
• Works directly under Supervisor, closely with other technicians
• May represent group in multi-group projects
• Energetic team player
• Help cultivate a positive work environment
• Attention to detail

Education/Preferred Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent work experience knowledge; GC/MS or wet chemistry experience is preferred. Associate’s degree in chemistry preferred.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position, offering medical, dental, vision benefits, 401k and paid vacation. Working hours are flexible and determined by department needs, with recommended hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching, as well as manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and normal hearing and vision sufficient to operate equipment and maintain records.
